How are the Indigenous People Affected?

Community Land and Water Coalition stands in solidarity with the Indigenous Communities of the land called Massachusetts and beyond. We honor their rights to tribal sovereignty, honor their continued, uninterrupted, and unceded claims to the land, we speak against the destruction and erasure of Indigenous cultural history by the sand mining industry, and recognize the tens of thousands of years of environmental stewardship they have performed in Massachusetts and beyond. We support the Land Back movement in Massachusetts, the work of the Native Land Trust, all of the tribes of Massachusetts, New England, Canada and beyond, and Indigenous Communities on the front lines of environmental destruction everywhere on the globe.
