Take Action: Send a letter to the Governor’s Commission on Energy Infrastructure Siting and Permitting

Are you concerned about what’s happening in your community with new solar, wind, batteries, transmission lines, substations and other renewable energy infrastructure popping up everywhere? Do you want to have a say in how Massachusetts builds out its renewable energy infrastructure?

Please take action to oppose a proposal by Massachusetts Governor Healey that will take power away from local communities to permit and site these renewable energy projects. If the proposal goes through, the state will have the final say over where solar and batteries go – in our backyards, on top of our drinking water supplies, in our forests, in our wetlands, and on our beaches.

Send a letter to the Governor’s Commission on Energy Infrastructure Siting and Permitting to say that our towns know the best places for energy infrastructure, and know what resources need to be preserved. Do not take away our local zoning control over permitting and siting energy projects! Don’t undermine our local home rule powers.
