Plympton Zoning Board of Appeals
January 23 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
TAKE ACTION! Urge the Plympton Zoning Board to say NO to SLT’s demolition debris operation!
There will be a public hearing on SLT Construction’s request that the ZBA overturn the Town Building Inspector’s decision denying SLT’s permit for a “materials processing facility.” The site is just over the Plympton border from SLT’s 20 acre mining operation in Carver. The mining operation in Carver continues to deposit sand and silt on neighbors’ houses and Ricketts Pond, destroying Pine Barrens forest and potential archaeological sites. Since at least 2021, SLT Construction has also been mining and conducting earth removal in Plympton. The Town issued a cease and desist. Now SLT wants a permit to operate a demolition debris facility in Plympton. Please attend and urge the ZBA to VOTE NO to the Appeal! Read more on our blog!
